ImproVox performs and presents workshops at festivals, conferences, private and corporate functions, colleges and universities throughout Maine and the northeast. Highly spirited and versatile, this five member a cappella ensemble liberates the voice and builds community through spontaneous vocal exploration-- bringing singers of all levels together for uniquely freeing vocal experiences.

VOCAL "VORTEX" EXPLORATION WORKSHOPS:
An ImproVox Vocal "VORTEX" is the ultimate instant choir. Workshops promote deep listening, imagination, initiation, and musical invention. Dynamic rhythms and interlocking melodies blend into holy harmonies and daring dissonances. Participants consistently report a jubilant response to making music in the moment.

PERFORMANCE: Wild or reverent, quirky or soulful, ImproVox performances are never the same twice. Performance includes songs, stories, and soundscapes created on the spot, integrating formally prepared music and regularly inviting audience involvement.
