Poetry from the Audience...

ImproVox LOVES to invite the audience to fill out writing prompts so we can sing their words back to them. Recently we invited an audience to finish the statement "Forgive me..."  Here's what they wrote:

FORGIVE ME…

 … for laughing

… for loving you

… Mea Culpa

… I didn’t know you were married

… for being unkind…

… for hoping too hard & too long

… for not hoping long enough

… I didn’t mean it, I was in a crabby mood.

… for laughing too loud in the back row

… for picking you up 3 hours late from your lesson

… for failing to pay attention

… for failing biology

… after all this time

… for saying this

… if I step on your toes

… when I say “Shut Up”

… for calling you names on the playground

… for shutting your tail in the window

… for calling you names in my mind

… for spilling the gravy

… I thought you were someone else

… I didn’t mean to make that noise!

… I didn’t know you were pregnant!

… I thought you were pregnant.

… I can’t remember your name!

…I should have made supper…
